The Kempencelts

Brief Biography

Our dance stage has become a traditional place to “get involved” and for the past several years the Kempencelts have provided the music while David and Ann Kennett led the dance instruction. Please come and join!!

When it comes to getting together and playing Celtic music, the Kempencelts are sure to keep toes tapping and the dance floor full. They have travelled to various parts of Ontario performing a variety of Irish, Scottish and Canadian tunes. The band members are fiddlers Carol Kline, Cheryl Wilson and Barbara White, on guitar is Chuck MacLeod, on bodhran is Brian Gogarty and on stand up bass is Peter Cox. Along with dance callers Dave and Ann Kennett, they have provided music for the Mariposa Dance Stage for a number of years. Put your dancing shoes on and get your toes ready for tapping and join us at the Mariposa Dance Stage!!
