An impressive singer-songwriter and performer, Jim Bryson has five critically acclaimed albums under his belt since the launch of his solo career in 2000. This musician’s musician is in the touring band of country singer, Kathleen Edwards, and has toured and recorded with many artists including Howe Gelb, Lynn Miles, Sarah Harmer, and The Tragically Hip. Bryson has toured Canada and the United Kingdom extensively, and most recently recorded with celebrated folk-rock group, The Weakerthans, culminating in the release of The Falcon Lake Incident in October 2010. Following a stint as a founding member of the band Punchbuggy, Jim Bryson has proven himself to be an impressive singer-songwriter and performer. He moved on to a musical life under his own name with the release of his debut album in 2000, the first of five critically acclaimed albums in his solo career. .
A member of the touring band of country singer Kathleen Edwards, he has also toured and recorded with many other artists including Howe Gelb, Lynn Miles, Sarah Harmer, and The Weakerthans and The Tragically Hip.
Bryson has toured Canada and the United Kingdom extensively, has played the famous South by Southwest Festival, and his songs have been in rotation on CBC Radio 3. He’s also the subject of Kathleen Edwards's song, I Make the Dough, You Get the Glory.
In January 2010, Bryson began recording songs with the much celebrated folk-rock band, The Weakerthans, releasing his most recent album, The Falcon Lake Incident, in October of that year.
