Information for Community Groups

In keeping with Mariposa’s values of learning and social conscience, the Festival invites community groups and non-government organizations to set up booths and displays to share information about their causes.

A selection committee reviews all applications for community group status, taking into consideration a variety of factors including the nature of each group’s activities, its public presence, and previous participation at the Mariposa Folk Festival.

Organizations granted community group status will be provided a display area approximately 15 feet wide and 20 feet deep in a designated area. There is no fee, and commercial activity is not allowed. This is just one of Mariposa Folk Foundation’s contributions to community.

Community groups will also be offered up to 5 weekend festival passes (depending on staffing needs) to ensure full coverage at their exhibit. Electrical hook-ups are not available.

Once approved to set up a display, your organization will be given additional information including a letter of understanding to be signed-back to Mariposa Folk Festival.

Please Note: The response from community groups has been strong, and we have reached our limit of available spaces. If you wish to be placed on the waiting list in the event that a space becomes available, please submit an application.

Apply online or, download the application form and fax it to (705) 326-5693.
