Mariposa Needs Your Support

Dear Mariposa Friend, 

The Mariposa Folk Foundation has just celebrated 50 proud years of presenting folk music in Canada. To help us continue to mount this iconic cultural event, we are asking our friends – supporters like yourself – to include the Mariposa Folk Foundation (registered charity # 119033215RR0001) in your charitable giving.

Mariposa’s revenues come from ticket sales and other festival revenues, as well as grants and sponsorships. Our needs are greater than our traditional sources of revenue. That’s why we are asking our friends to give generously to the Mariposa Folk Foundation.

Giving Is Easy

Mariposa is accepting donations through Canada Helps, Canada’s non-profit donation portal servicing over 83,000 charities. You can choose to make a one-time donation or a monthly donation, whichever works best for you. You can also make your gift in memory of, in honour of, or on behalf of a loved one. Tax receipts are automatically generated for on line donations. 

Gifts can also be made by sending a cheque payable to the Mariposa Folk Foundation, Box 383, Orillia, Ontario, Canada L3V 6J8 or, if you prefer, you can speak to a real person at (705) 326-3655 during business hours in the Mariposa office to make a donation over the telephone. For donations made by cheque and telephone, tax receipts will be mailed before the tax filing season begins. Mariposa tax receipts are valid for Canadian tax filers.  

Gifts of all sizes will be gratefully accepted. For gifts of $100 or more, Mariposa Folk Foundation will acknowledge your generosity in the festival program and on our website (you may opt out upon request).

  • Acknowledgment as a Festival Benefactor in the festival program and on our website (you may opt out upon request)

Patron $2500

  • Tax receipt
  • Acknowledgment as a Festival Patron in the festival program and on our website (you may opt out upon request)
