MARIPOSA FOLK FOUNDATION HEALTH & SAFETY STATEMENT

The Board of Directors of the Mariposa Folk Foundation (MFF) is vitally interested in the health and safety of all of its employees and volunteers. Protection of employees and volunteers from injury or occupational disease is a major continuing objective. MFF will make every effort to provide a safe, healthy work environment. All team leads and employee/volunteers must be dedicated to the continuing objective of reducing risk of injury.

MFF as employer and volunteer recruiter is ultimately responsible for employee/volunteer safety. The MFF board of directors gives you its promise that every reasonable precaution will be taken for the protection of employees and volunteers.

The Board of Directors will be accountable for the health and safety of employees/volunteers under their supervision. Team leads are responsible to ensure that equipment is safe and that employees/volunteers work in compliance with safe work practices and procedures.

Every employee/volunteer must protect his or her own health and safety by working in compliance with the law and with safe work practices and procedures as established under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.

It is in the best interest of all parties to consider health and safety in every activity. Commitment to health and safety must form an integral part of this organization.
