Alyssa Wright is a classically-trained singer who now performs roots and jazz music (with the occasional operatic trill thrown in for good measure!), some of which can be heard on her solo CD, “Dark Waters” and The Brights' "Live Love Dream". A “guest artist”, coach and instructor at Toronto’s Claude Watson School for the Arts (High School Division) from 1997-2006, she currently teaches privately (cello and voice) in Orillia, and gives workshops and masterclasses throughout Canada. She firmly believes there is a special place in hell reserved for any choir director that ever asked a child to “just mouth the words”.
