A band of gifted storeytellers, musicians and singers, Les Tireux d'Roches charms their audience with beautiful, melodic performances, and gets them on their feet with lively, danceable ditties. Delighting audiences since 1998, this year the Mariposa audience gets their opportunity to see why this act from Québec has caused such a stir. You don't have to understand a word they sing. Their wonderful sound speaks volumes all by itself. Les Tireux d'Roches plays traditional music with a uniquely creative touch. Called 'modern future', their songs will take you on a fantastic musicial, story-filled, multi-colored voyage into an imaginary New-World-of-old.
Depuis 1998, les Tireux d'Roches parcourent les contrées. Munis de contes, de chansons et de musique inspirée du terroir, ces six artistes professionnels réunissent leur talent au service de la tradition québécoise. Leur musique est de mailles québécoises tissées de voix, violoncelle, bouzouki, saxophone, accordéon, pieds, flûte et harmonica. Leur broderie musicale connaît un vif succès hors frontière.
