Code of Conduct

Mariposa volunteers work a minimum of 12 hours during the 3 days of the festival. There is an orientation/training session to learn about your job and meet your team lead and other volunteers. For contributing your time, Mariposa Folk Festival volunteers receive free admission to the festival as well as a souvenir Mariposa Volunteer t-shirt.

volunteer parking

Due to intense demand and limited availability for on-site parking, volunteers are offered free off-site parking nearby, and a free shuttle bus to the festival site.

Volunteers may also opt to pay the $10 per day audience parking fee to park on-site at the festival, subject to availability. We encourage volunteers to consider supporting our greening initiative by riding a bicycle to the festival and placing it in the free bicycle lock-up.

festival camping for volunteers

Volunteers receive a discounted rate for festival camping: Volunteers aged 19+ pay only $25 (save up to $33.50). The price for youth volunteers aged 13-18 is $15 (save up to $13).

After you have received confirmation that you will be accredited as a volunteer, you may contact the Mariposa Folk Foundation office during business hours at (705) 326-3655 to find out how to get the subsidized price for camping.
